Book Challenge: Read from all 7 Continents

Hi Everyone,

I came across a page on my local library page that shared ideas for challenges. I was fascinated by the following one:

READ AROUND THE WORLD
Pick 7 books, each set (primarily) on a different continent. Variations of this task could include choosing all Fiction or all Non-Fiction, the authors from each continent instead of the books set there, or perhaps biographies of someone from there. Feel free to be creative for Antarctica!

So I started thinking about what books I have read from different places...that I have enjoyed:

North America:
So many to name!!
Europe:

Africa:

Australia:

But then I realized that I don't think that I have read that many books from Asia, South America, or Antarctica.  So clearly, I need to fix that!
Do you all have any recommendations?

Thursday: Bookish (and not so Bookish) Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

Stopping by to tell you about another new bookish meme. This one is called
Bookish (and not so Bookish) Thoughts. It is hosted by Bookishly Boisterous.

Description: Bookish (and not so Bookish) Thoughts is a chance for book bloggers to dabble in areas besides books (but those are welcome too). Share your plans for the weekend, a rant on people not using their turn signals in parking lots, or your love of Sunday morning mimosas.

So for this week, I would like to feature my cats, because books and cats? Why not!

This is Raja and Amirah. They just turned 9 in March. They keep me on my toes!

Do you have a pet?

Top Ten Tuesday: The Ten Most Recent Additions to My Bookshelf

Hi Everyone!

Stopping by with another TTT post. This week's theme is: The Ten Most Recent Additions to My Bookshelf.  I don't buy alot of books, but when I do I find it tends to mainly graphic novels or something I am interested in learning more about.  I try to support our local library as much as possible and have had good luck getting a number of books from them.

Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts?

Reading Recap

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to another addition of reading recaps! This is where I share mini-reviews of books that I have been reading.

Self Care Solution
In this book, the Doctor who is regularly on GMA shares a monthly habit that she tried to see how it impacted her self care. I really appreciate the down to earth information coupled with the real world impacts/research that each task has.

The Map From Here to There
The new Emery Lord! I have been waiting for this one for a bit and I am glad that it was finally here. It kept me entertained and wanting to know what would happen next. I love her sense of humor and things like Harry Potter jokes throughout. Worth the read.

Lumberjanes, Vol. 13
A quick read-but always enjoyable! I love going on adventures with these girls. :)

Sorry I am Late, I Didn't Want to Come
The challenge for the introvert outside her comfort zone. I enjoyed the insights of this book and what happens when you make yourself a bit uncomfortable. I recommend for my fellow introverts alike!

What's on your current reading list?

Waiting on Wednesday: The Fire Never Goes Out

Hi Everyone,

Just stopping by to let you know about a book that I am waiting on! This one is one person whose books I always enjoy. Get here March 3, 2020!

Author: Noelle Stevenson

Summary from Amazon:

From Noelle Stevenson, the New York Times bestselling author-illustrator of Nimona, comes a captivating, honest illustrated memoir that finds her turning an important corner in her creative journey—and inviting readers along for the ride.
In a collection of essays and personal mini-comics that span eight years of her young adult life, author-illustrator Noelle Stevenson charts the highs and lows of being a creative human in the world.
Whether it’s hearing the wrong name called at her art school graduation ceremony or becoming a National Book Award finalist for her debut graphic novel, Nimona, Noelle captures the little and big moments that make up a real life, with a wit, wisdom, and vulnerability that are all her own.

F) Book Obsession:
