Happy Sunday! Stopping by with a couple of mini-reviews on books I have finished lately...
Wish You Were Here
Early access to the new Jodi Picoult book! I was delighted to read this one and did not see the twist coming. I enjoyed this one very much.
Four Winds
The newest from Kristin Hannah and I enjoyed the flashback in time. This one talks about the Dust Bowl which makes me think about the times that individuals had back in ND during that time.
What have you been reading?
Happy Reading!
Hi Everyone,
Just stopping by with a not so Bookish thought today....this time about 80's music and how much I have appreciated this genre to get me through the last little bit. It was my Dad's favorite and I miss him immensely. Lately, I have 80's going while I do homework and somehow it makes me feel a little better. I hope that everyone can find some tunes that make them feel better!
Anyone got an 80's themed book recommendations?
Happy Listening (and Reading)!
Hi Everyone,
Stopping by with a post for TTT regarding my Bookish Wishes.
Here are a few from me:
Happy Reading!
First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
"Beginning 500 million years ago, North America and Africa Collided."
Any guesses??
IF you guessed The Appalachian Trail: A Biography-- you would be correct :)
Happy Reading!
Good morning everyone,

From my BOTM : Details from Amazon:
THE INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The critically acclaimed author of Everything, Everything and The Sun is Also a Star is back with her eagerly anticipated third novel. With all the heart and hope of her last two books, this is an utterly unique romance.
Evie Thomas doesn't believe in love anymore. Especially after the strangest thing occurs one otherwise ordinary afternoon: She witnesses a couple kiss and is overcome with a vision of how their romance began . . . and how it will end. After all, even the greatest love stories end with a broken heart, eventually.
As Evie tries to understand why this is happening, she finds herself at La Brea Dance Studio, learning to waltz, fox-trot, and tango with a boy named X. X is everything that Evie is not: adventurous, passionate, daring. His philosophy is to say yes to everything--including entering a ballroom dance competition with a girl he's only just met.
Falling for X is definitely not what Evie had in mind. If her visions of heartbreak have taught her anything, it's that no one escapes love unscathed. But as she and X dance around and toward each other, Evie is forced to question all she thought she knew about life and love. In the end, is love worth the risk?
From the Publisher (Thank you!) Details from Amazon:
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author comes a deeply moving novel about the resilience of the human spirit in a moment of crisis.
Diana O’Toole is perfectly on track. She will be married by thirty, done having kids by thirty-five, and move out to the New York City suburbs, all while climbing the professional ladder in the cutthroat art auction world. She’s an associate specialist at Sotheby’s now, but her boss has hinted at a promotion if she can close a deal with a high-profile client. She’s not engaged just yet, but she knows her boyfriend, Finn, a surgical resident, is about to propose on their romantic getaway to the Galápagos—days before her thirtieth birthday. Right on time.
But then a virus that felt worlds away has appeared in the city, and on the eve of their departure, Finn breaks the news: It’s all hands on deck at the hospital. He has to stay behind. You should still go, he assures her, since it would be a shame for all of their nonrefundable trip to go to waste. And so, reluctantly, she goes.
Almost immediately, Diana’s dream vacation goes awry. Her luggage is lost, the Wi-Fi is nearly nonexistent, and the hotel they’d booked is shut down due to the pandemic. In fact, the whole island is now under quarantine, and she is stranded until the borders reopen. Completely isolated, she must venture beyond her comfort zone. Slowly, she carves out a connection with a local family when a teenager with a secret opens up to Diana, despite her father’s suspicion of outsiders.
In the Galápagos Islands, where Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection was formed, Diana finds herself examining her relationships, her choices, and herself—and wondering if when she goes home, she too will have evolved into someone completely different.

Hi Everyone,
Happy Thursday. Today I am stopping by with some not so bookish thoughts. I wanted to just share a bit about craft projects I have been working on. Sometimes I just need a break to do something creative. To that end, I have discovered Aqua Beads. Have you ever tried or used them? They are magic beads you put in a design and then spray to set. Similar to perler, but no baking involved.
I have been trying to find some new patterns. Anyone try these or have patterns to share?
