Book Review: Devotion

Author: Adam Makos

Summary from Goodreads:
This book follows two Navy aviators on their adventures of the front lines of Korea. The book captures the lives and overlap of the two as they face the challenges of life both on the field and within their own families. An interesting read about the intersection of war and the impact it has on life.

Disclaimer: I was awarded this book in a Goodreads giveaway. While I did not pay for the book, the opinions expressed in this book are strictly my own.

Personal Review: This was an interesting book. I enjoyed the author’s ability to capture so much of the story of these two men’s lives. The preface of the book explains the interviews and the process that he uses to capture as many of the details possible. The details were interesting in a very real way. I enjoyed that.

The book itself is pretty large in size, but reads quickly. The story draws you in and makes you curious about what will happen next. I cannot imagine what it was like to be in those situations or the far away family that has to worry. Truth is, there are families and individuals still experiencing that every day. Thank you all for your service to our country. May you be safe and may you always know that there are people who are grateful for you doing what you do.

Happy Reading!
