Waiting on Wednesday: Dog Medicine

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. This week I am excited to feature a book that is about one of my favorite things in the whole world-dogs! If you guys know me, you know that our furry friend is very important to me. I am lucky for having him as part of my life and I am excited that people are finding comfort from other animals. This book sounds great!

Dog Medicine
Julie Barton
Release Date: July 19, 2016

More information from Amazon:
At twenty-two, Julie Barton collapsed on her kitchen floor in Manhattan. She was one year out of college and severely depressed. Summoned by Julie’s incoherent phone call, her mother raced from Ohio to New York and took her home.

Haunted by troubling childhood memories, Julie continued to sink into suicidal depression. Psychiatrists, therapists, and family tried to intervene, but nothing reached her until the day she decided to do one hopeful thing: adopt a Golden Retriever puppy she named Bunker. Dog Medicine captures the anguish of depression, the slow path to recovery, the beauty of forgiveness, and the astonishing ways animals can help heal even the most broken hearts and minds.

Are you going to be checking this one out? Do  you have other animal book suggestions that I should check out? Please let me know in the comments below!
