Book Review: Gamer Girl

Author: Glynis Astie

Personal Review:When I first heard about this book, I thought that it sounds like an interesting read. I enjoy a video game every now and again, but even more than that I enjoy learning about how people cope with the world around them.

In this book, we meet Meri who has closed herself off to the world through gaming. When she realizes that she needs to start opening up again, it makes for an interesting read. The path is not easy. As you know we don't do spoilers here, so I don't want to say too much.

The best part of this book for me was the characters. Not only do we get to meet Meri, but we also meet a couple of other people close to her. (Especially her Grams) I enjoyed the conversations between them and the advice shared.

All in all, I enjoyed this book. I am glad that I had a chance to read it. If you are looking for your next book, you may want to consider this one.

Disclaimer: I was awarded this book as part of the blog tour. Though I did not pay for the book, the opinions are strictly my own.

Happy Reading!
