Hi Everyone!
Happy Friday! Happy to be here to bring you a Q&A post today! Please help me by giving Rochelle a warm welcome to the blog.

· When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
It was the thrill of pencil in hand and the empty pages of a bound journal that called out to me as a child of seven or eight. Also a voracious reader, the combination of stories and magic and thoughts and feelings always excited me. I'm not sure I had a choice in the ultimate decision. Writing was a compulsion; my thoughts always turned into plots. Being a writer is who I am, not just what I do.
· How long does it take you to write a book? The first book took about a year. Book five took about 2 1/2 months. It varies.· What is your work schedule like when you're writing? The kids leave for school and I'll sit down to work usually breaking around noon for some form of exercise--walking, yoga, Pilates--and then I return until they get home. I typically don't write on weekends unless I'm on serious deadline. #familyfirst· What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?Well I've never had a cup of coffee in my life, and most writers can't type a word without it. My beverage of choice while writing is ice cold water, but what really keeps me going are Twizzlers. I can not write without a bag nearby.

“Gripping
and poignant, SOMEBODY’S DAUGHTER is
that novel that you can’t stop reading, and then can’t stop thinking about
afterwards. With vivid characters and an all too real storyline, the novel
looks unflinchingly at the world of cyber sexual harassment and the devastating
consequences that a few moments of stupidity can have for a teenager. The
novel forces us to examine our own judgements, and to look to empathy as we
navigate our children through this harsh new world. A must read for any parent.
I loved this book.”— bestselling author Sally Hepworth
Consider this: in a matter of
seconds, and at the touch of a button, your livelihood and your reputation
could be destroyed. This chilling notion is a harsh reality for the millions
who are victimized by online sexual harassment each year. With a staggering 47%
of Americans impacted by this burgeoning epidemic, about 10 million of us – or
one in 25 – have either been threatened or victimized with nonconsensual image
sharing, according to the Data and Society Research Institute. When it comes to
teenagers, this number jumps to an alarming 1 in 10 (bullyingstastics.org).
These digital forms of assault – and
the devastation left in their wake – are at the core of Somebody’s Daughter (Lake
Union Publishing; April 17, 2018; 978-1503949256),
a gripping new novel from USA Today bestselling author Rochelle B. Weinstein, which
highlights the growing problem of teenagers oversharing and misunderstanding
impact of social media.

fifteenth birthday party, they learn – in a devastatingly public way – of Zoe’s
mistake. When a private indiscretion with a classmate at a party goes viral,
the entire Ross family is thrust into the center of a shocking public scandal.
Shattered by disgrace and judgment,
