Top Ten Tuesday: Songs I Wish Were Books

Hi Everyone!

Just stopping by with another Top Ten Tuesday. This week's theme is 10 songs that I wish were books. Those of you guys who know me, know that I love country music. It reminds me of where I came from. Good country songs in my mind are all stories in themselves. However, sometimes I have wondered what it would be like if you could piece them all together. (For your enjoyment, I have included highlights for how the story goes for this list.)

In any case, here are my top ten songs I wish were books:

Early Life of Person
(Grows up in a small house, makes friend with the neighbor. Lives outside of Memphis and loves it, but wants more in life. Decides to move to a fly over state)
1) Believe by Brooks and Dunn
2) Walking in Memphis by Lonestar
3) Fly Over States by Jason Aldean

Young Adult
(Boy meets girl from Amirallo, falls in love. Boy doesnt take life too serious, lets girl get away after magical dance. Boy regrets losing girl)
4) The Dance by Garth Brooks
5) Baby Likes To Rock It by The Tractors
6) More Than a Memory by Garth Brooks

Adult
(Boy convinces girl to come back, girls father objects. They agree to run away together. They build a life, have a family)
7)  Love Me by Collin Raye
8) Dirt by Florida Georgia Line
9) Don't Take the Girl by Tim McGraw

Older Adult
10) Forever and Ever, Amen by Randy Travis

What do you think? Too melodramatic? I would love to hear what songs you wish you could turn into books! Happy Reading!

  1. FINALLY! A list where I know every song! I have Jason Aldean on my list to. OMG Don't Take the Girl is one of my favorite songs ever, it would definitely make a good book. The Dance would make an excellent book too.

I absolutely love your blog name.

    1. Thank you! :) I love Jason Aldean. We saw him at Nats Park two summers ago and it was such a fun show! I will try to stop by your blog too! Thanks for coming by.
