Hi Everyone!

Just stopping by with another Top Ten Tuesday!  This week's topic is Top Ten Tuesday is about Top Ten Things That Will Make Me Instantly Want To Read A Book. I found this to be an interesting topic and even more interesting about trying to develop themes around the books that I do read..


1) There is a cute dog on the cover! I am a sucker for an animal book.

2) There is a cute cat on the cover. Refer to #1

3) It is a story about hiking!

4) It's written by Elin Hilderbrand or she has recommended it! 

5) It is about the Lumberjanes. 

6) It is set close to where I live! 

7) It has anything to do with the Gilmore Girls, people who have been in the show or similar style. 

8) It is about the Wizard of Oz, the characters, or some form of a retelling of the story.

9) The covers are cute! (Yes, I judge a book by the cover-all of the time!

10) It's set in France. I love the country and I hope to go back some day!

Dewey's Mini Challenge: April 10-16

"What is Dewey’s 24-Hour Read-a-thon? For 24 hours, we read books, post to our blogs, Twitters, Tumblrs, Goodreads and MORE about our reading, and visit other readers’ homes online. We also participate in mini-challenges throughout the day. It happens twice a year, in April and in October.
It was created by the beloved Dewey (her blog is archived at the Wayback Machine).

The first one was held in October 2007. Dewey died in late 2008. We’re still saddened by her absence, but the show must go on. The read-a-thon was renamed to honor its founder in 2009.

Dewey’s 24-Hour Read-a-thon is hosted by Heather and Andi of The Estella Society, with help from volunteers."

The actual event will be taking place later this month, but in preparation they are suggesting that you spend 24 hours over the course of the week from April 10-16th.

Book Review: Hannah's Moon

Hi Everyone!

I am excited to be here today to bring you another book review from John Heldt. This is 5th book in the American Journey Series. Those of you who have been here before maybe remember some of the prior reviews of books in this series. These books are about time travel and I enjoy them very much.

This book has a little bit of something for everyone. There is alot of moving parts to the book, but it is sure to please alot of different people based on the variety of things going on in the story. If you enjoy a romance, history, or a bit of a thriller this may be the book for you.

I enjoyed this book and I am glad that I had the opportunity to read it.

Book Review: The Nocturnals-The Fallen Star

Personal Review:



I am excited to be here today to bring you a review of the 3rd Nocturnals book! This book is another geared at the middle school age and we once again get to meet up with the friends we made in the first two books. This time the crew has gotten sick and they must work together to solve what is causing it.

I enjoy these books because they have themes that I believe in woven throughout the story. It's not in your face, but done in a tactful way. I appreciate the story very much throughout. My favorite part of these books are the characters. The way that the author writes creates vivid images in my mind.

I enjoyed this book and appreciate the opportunity to read the latest in the series. Thank you!

Hi Everyone!

I am excited to be here to announce the next round of the #TomeTopple readathon that was created by @thoughtsontomes.  Co-hosts: @booklifesj @perpetualpages @brainsandbooks @littlebookowl & @bibliophilicwith (tumblr).

This readathon is a challenge in which you attempt to read books that are over 500 pages. It is starting on April 7th and will continue until April 20th!

Sounds like fun! I am not sure what I will be reading yet, but I will update here.
