Hi Everyone!
Just stopping by with another Top Ten Tuesday!
This week's topic is Top Ten Tuesday is a freebie week. This is a fun
topic because I feel like I could go a hundred different ways. That said, I have decided to go with the reasons I Love Being a Book Blogger.
1) The mail! I love when I get books in the mail. It is so much more fun than bills and other grown up adult life that comes in your mailbox each day.
1) The mail! I love when I get books in the mail. It is so much more fun than bills and other grown up adult life that comes in your mailbox each day.
2) The books! This is obviously true, but I love getting new recommendations. I love the adventure of the book and even though I am sitting in my house, I can live 1001 lives in other places.
3) The people in the book community! I have had a lot of fun getting to meet some wonderful people. Even though I haven't met you in person, it is fun to have a common interest and talk about it!
4) The reading challenges! I am a big fan of them! I have to say they are not for everyone, but for me they keep me motivated and engaged. It helps to challenge me to read books that are outside of my comfort zone as well. Which is great!
5) The hobby! I have always enjoyed reading, but this is something that I have alot of passion for. It has been rewarding for me to have a place of 'own' that is outside of work and that can just be something I enjoy. If it ever gets too stressful, that will be when it is time to call it quits.
6) The other bloggers! You guys inspire me so much! I love seeing how you think about books, how you write things up, the challenges you do, the creativity of blogging. It is fun to get new ideas and you continue to push me to make new updates to my blog all of the time.
7) The conversations! I participate in Twitter chats every now and again. Those help me to think about the books more broadly. I love when people comment on my posts and give feedback. I have to say I am not always the best at doing the same. (I am one of those 'lurkers'...need to get better about actually saying something). I love that not everyone has to agree on a topic, but that we can have a respectful conversation about differences. And if you think that you cannot...then please just stay away. RESPECT is important. It's okay to agree to disagree.

8) The snuggles! While I am sure that my animals sometimes are just around me to get the heat of the laptop while I type up my posts, it is wonderful to have them by my side. If you want to see more cute pictures of them follow me on IG @hesaidbooksorme.
9) The events! I have not done a ton of these in person yet, but I love them. I love that I can be in a room with a bunch of passionate people!
And finally...
10) The writing practice! I know that there are times I think faster than I type. I know that sometimes I am not clear in what I am trying to communicate. My blog has helped me practice being more succinct in what I want to say. I am planning on adding more discussion type posts in the future, so stay tuned. I hope that I continue to expand my skills.
Are you a book blogger? If so, what do you love about it?
Happy Reading!
Happy Reading!
I am not a book blogger but I really liked reading this Top Ten because your passion and excitement is so visible. Keep it up! I'm envious that you are doing something you love so much! You are basically my goals ;)

DeleteI totally agree with your list, especially #7! I don't have a lot of book buddies in IRL so the chance to discuss and dissect books with other bookworms in the book blogging community is awesome.

DeleteGreat list. I am definitely experiencing #10. I used to be pretty good at writing but haven't done any in a long time. As a new blogger I am discovering that I'm really rusty and need to get my groove back.
