Hi Everyone!
Just stopping by with another Top Ten Tuesday!
This week's topic is Top Ten Tuesday is at your own discretion to go
back and pick a topic you missed. I am so excited to bring you
my list because these books deserve some love. The topic I chose as my
rewind topic is Books I had to BUY, but have been sitting on my shelves.
This is very near and dear to my heart right now because I have been
trying to take a serious inventory of the books I have and what I have
yet to read.
I
am hoping that this will help me to figure out how to balance the books
I get for review, ones I get from the library, and the ones I own. I am
doing a couple of challenges that focus on getting your TBR lists down,
but I feel like to some extent that has been slow moving for me.
Without further ado...here is my list....
3) Off Centered Leadership
The book by Dog Fish Head's owner. I preordered it but then Barnes and Noble shipped my books only when they were all available instead of when it came out and now some of my spark for this one went down.
Same situation with Barnes and Noble above. I loved Eat Pray Love. Not sure why I haven't read this one yet.
6) Understudy
Cheyanne
Young (author of this book) was wonderful and gave me a chance to read
this book! I just have not had a chance to do it yet, but yet I am
looking forward to it.
10) The Nightingale
I
have heard wonderful things about Kristin Hannah, but have not read her
books. A few people I know and trust for book recommendations have said
wonderful things about this one, but I haven't read it yet.
Do you have a backlog of books? If so, how do you balance your lists of books?
Happy Reading!
The Nightingale is sooo good!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your blog name is adorable!
I have heard that! I really need to get to it. Thanks! :)
DeleteI've got a lot of books that I bought still sitting on my shelf. IT really doesn't help that I come back from the library with a big stack of books every week!
ReplyDeleteStacy Renee @ Lazy Day Literature
LOL, I totally hear you! I am the same exact way. :)
DeleteI'm not on a schedule, I guess, so I get to books when I get to them. I didn't used to buy a lot of books mainly because I live in NYC and the public library system is fantastic but I often get a lot of books that I can't read in the time allotted. That's when I try to renew and renew and renew and when i can't, I just request it for the future.
ReplyDeleteI'll get to them someday, I promise myself.
These days, I am buying more books though because as a writer, I know how important it is to support authors so I'm only buying books I really enjoy.

I'm following you now. Hope you'll follow me too so we can chat about books some more.
I think we are operating similarly :) I appreciate your insight. Thanks for the follow!!
DeleteI read Eat Pray Love made me do it recently. I think I would have enjoyed it more had I been more into EPL.
ReplyDeleteBut I love that you also buy books and then don't read them straight away!
I loved EPL so I am not sure what is taking me so long! :) Soon. I will get to it! :) Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteOne day, I'll have to try The Nightingale. :)
ReplyDeleteCheck out my TTT.
I have heard great things! :) I am looking forward to giving it a try! :)
